sin city director's cut
アメリカアマゾンから『sin city director's cut』のDVDが届いたので早速鑑賞。映画館で観ていたく感動したから、すごく期待して見たんだけど映画館程の感動はなかった。
考えられる一番の理由は画質。この映画全編グリーンバックで撮影して後から風景なんかを合成しまくってるんだけど、恐らく撮影はHDのビデオでやってるっぽい。で映画館で上映するにはそれをフィルムに焼き付けるから（キネコ）フィルム独特の良い感じの質感になる。ところがDVDにする時は恐らくHDのビデオから直接オーサリングしてるはず。だからDVDは一般的に言う所の「はっきり、くっきり」系の綺麗になり過ぎちゃってる。画質は俺からすると変にピカピカ光っちゃって雰囲気も何もあったもんじゃない。
映画においてはフィルムの「空気感」ってのはすごく大事で、映画をビデオ撮りでやられるとなんか妙に冷めるんだよね。石井輝男の遺作『盲獣VS一寸法師』なんかも最悪の質感だったよね。DVなんかでもやりようによっては生っぽさってかなり消えるし、そう言った「空気感」を大事にして欲しいものだ。
